Taqwa Al-Sarayreh, a talented young woman born in 2002 from Karak, transformed her love for handicrafts from a simple hobby into a project called “September Woodworks.” Her passion for details and her desire to express herself led her to the art of woodburning, creating unique pieces that tell a special story in every design. As she says: “I don’t just offer a product—I offer an artistic piece that carries my fingerprint, and I focus on the details.”
Her passion was her greatest motivation to continue, inspiring and motivating her to turn it into a source of income that provided her with stability. Through self-learning and perseverance, she became able to produce a variety of pieces, such as decorative wooden spoons, frames engraved with expressive phrases, bookmarks, and wall panels that combine art and decoration.
Taqwa carefully uses woodburning tools, selecting different types of wood, and finishing them with paints and coatings to preserve both beauty and quality. Each piece she creates is more than just decoration—it is an artwork infused with her spirit and story, making every item unique and full of character.
For Taqwa, this craft brought her peace and focus, turning into a therapeutic outlet for self-expression before it became a sustainable source of income. She aspires to enhance her skills in marketing and sales, and to establish a successful store with the distinct identity of September Woodworks, where each product reaches homes as a one-of-a-kind piece of art.
These products were supported through Khairat Al-Dar project.
Khairat Al-Dar is a digital platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship as a pilot initiative to empower home-based businesses in Jordan, providing them with an integrated environment to market their products in a modern and effective way.
