The Story of Muntaha Maraziq Store

Muntaha Maraziq, born in 1976 in Jerash, is the artisan who turned embroidery into a story told through her project in collaboration with the Jerash Women’s Association. She began her professional journey at the Princess Basma Center, and later found in this project her true opportunity to merge her passion for embroidery with her cultural identity. As she says: “It started as a hobby and became part of my daily life.”

Inspiration and Support

Muntaha drew her first inspiration from her mother, who taught her Palestinian embroidery. She later expanded her knowledge through training workshops, mastering Jordanian embroidery as well. Supported by colleagues and supervisors, she was encouraged to transform her skill into a source of both personal and community empowerment.

Products That Carry Identity

Today, Muntaha creates a wide range of products inspired by Jordanian heritage: embroidered coasters, traditional bracelets, keychains, reading bookmarks, wall decorations (Dzadeen), and bags—each stitch carrying part of the cultural identity. She uses natural fabrics like cotton and linen, colorful threads inspired by traditional Jordanian palettes, and recycled paper for product cards that narrate the story behind each item.

Visual Stories and a Heritage Message

Every design tells a visual story from Jerash, from the motifs of Hadrian’s Arch to traditional patterns. Her products are not just beautiful items, but tangible cultural experiences carrying a message of sustainability and empowerment.

Ambition and Distinction

Muntaha aspires to expand her project into a more established and independent brand, reaching wider audiences inside and outside Jordan. What sets her apart is her ability to blend authenticity with modernity, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail in design and materials—making every piece feel like owning part of history infused with love and artistry.

These products were supported through Khairat Al-Dar project.
Khairat Al-Dar is a digital platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship as a pilot initiative to empower home-based businesses in Jordan, providing them with an integrated environment to market their products in a modern and effective way.
