Hala Mousa Abdulmajid Al-Hiyari, from Salt, is the founder of Hala Art, a project that transforms resin into artistic pieces that decorate homes and preserve memories. After graduating in medical analysis in 2020, she found herself unable to work due to the pandemic. Her dreams were tied to laboratories, but the doors suddenly closed. That was the beginning of her journey with resin. As Hala says: “Resin was something strange yet beautiful at the same time. It has chemistry, but it also has art. It requires precision, but it also gives freedom. Every piece I make is different, nothing is repeated. I finally felt I found something that truly resembles me.”
Hala received strong support from her family and the local community through special orders. With continuous experimentation and self-learning from YouTube, she began creating her first pieces, each carrying her unique touch.
Today, Hala crafts keychains, wall frames, event giveaways, elegant trays, small boxes, and preserved floral keepsakes using resin, glass, mica, and alcohol inks. She draws inspiration from spiritual values and the symbols of Salt city, ensuring each piece carries a message of respect for details and simplicity that reflects modern elegance while maintaining cultural heritage.
This project transformed Hala’s life, providing her with an additional source of income and connecting her with a community that values art and craftsmanship. She now aspires to expand her store through digital platforms and participate in bazaars, reaching a wider audience. Her project is not just a craft—it is a story of turning isolation into creativity and crisis into a new beginning.
These products were supported through Khairat Al-Dar project.
Khairat Al-Dar is a digital platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship as a pilot initiative to empower home-based businesses in Jordan, providing them with an integrated environment to market their products in a modern and effective way.
