The Story of Bayt Al-Hiraf – Alaa Al-Rihani

From Karak, Alaa Adel Tawfiq Al-Rihani began her journey with her project Bayt Al-Hiraf, where she found in olive wood an opportunity to transform her passion into a tangible reality. She first joined a very simple training course, which was only the beginning. Later, she continued her training at her own expense with coach Iyad Saqr, realizing that true mastery of the craft requires passion and persistence before anything else.

Support and Beginnings

Her first supporter was her husband, who believed in her ability to succeed and encouraged her to pursue this path with full confidence. Through continuous practice and training, Alaa refined her skills until she became capable of producing precise and distinctive artistic pieces from olive wood and synthetic bone, using natural materials combined with a mix of necessary finishing chemicals.

The Craft as a Way of Life

Alaa describes her experience by saying: "It completely changed my life, filled all my time, and gave me positive energy and strength." For her, the craft is not just a manual skill but a lifestyle that provides her with motivation and the energy to continue creating.

Ambition and Vision

Alaa aspires to establish the largest workshop in southern Jordan, one that showcases her creations and embraces the work of other artisans as well. What distinguishes her is the precision of her finishing and her competitive prices, which make her products accessible to a wide audience without losing their artistic value or high quality.

These products were supported through Khairat Al-Dar project.
Khairat Al-Dar is a digital platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship as a pilot initiative to empower home-based businesses in Jordan, providing them with an integrated environment to market their products in a modern and effective way.
