From Karak, Wesam Al-Shamayleh began her journey with Wesam Cadeau in 2017 after the passing of her husband, deciding to transform her home into the starting point of a project that carries the spirit of Arab hospitality and reintroduces it with a modern touch. As Wesam explains: “I started in 2017 after my husband passed away, and my project was a home-based business in printing.”
Her first source of inspiration was her late father and her family’s rich heritage in handicrafts, along with training programs that helped her refine her skills. From this foundation, Wesam created her unique collection of coffee cups, mugs, paper giveaways, bags, and traditional Arabic dallahs. Each piece is carefully designed using materials such as glass cups, cardboard, fabric, and acrylic—carrying symbols of Jordanian and Palestinian heritage like the keffiyeh, the shemagh, the map of Jordan, and even the royal emblem with its golden crown.
Wesam’s creations are not just tools for serving hospitality—they are artistic pieces that capture the authenticity of the past while following modern trends to appeal to a wide range of tastes and generations. Her project has become more than a source of family income; it has turned into a platform for creativity and innovation, where she customizes designs according to customer requests with punctuality and high quality.
Wesam aspires to further develop her project and expand her sales channels so her products can reach a broader audience, continuing to stand as a symbol of tradition meeting modernity.
These products were supported through Khairat Al-Dar project.
Khairat Al-Dar is a digital platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship as a pilot initiative to empower home-based businesses in Jordan, providing them with an integrated environment to market their products in a modern and effective way.
