Umm Al-Rasas Women’s Cooperative Society

From Um Al-Rasas, the Um Al-Rasas Women Cooperative Association was established to economically empower women through cooperative work and productive handicrafts. The initiative aims to transform traditional skills and home-based knowledge into sustainable sources of income that strengthen self-reliance within the local community.

The association offers a selection of handmade ceramic products alongside homemade food products prepared using traditional recipes and natural ingredients. The ceramic pieces reflect artistic touches inspired by the local environment, while the food products preserve authentic flavors and high quality, bringing together craftsmanship and taste in one experience.

Through training and continuous support, the women have enhanced their skills, improved product quality and packaging, and adopted more professional production practices. The association aspires to expand its reach and access wider local and regional markets.

The development of these products has been supported by the Khairat Al-Dar Project, a digital platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship to support and empower home-based businesses in Jordan through modern and effective marketing solutions.
