The Story of Al-Ahmad Handicrafts

Tahani Abdulmunem Hussein Hussein, born in 1988 from Salt, founded Al-Ahmad Handicrafts together with her son Ibrahim Mohammad Hussein Haimour, who has a disability. For Tahani, the idea was not just about crafting, but about empowering her son with a skill that would help him integrate into practical life—turning challenges into positive energy. As she explains: “The story is about giving my son a craft since he faces disability and challenges… it changed our lifestyle. We now spend quality time together making art pieces, and my dream is that it brings even a small income.”

A Journey of Learning and Creativity

Her journey began with training workshops where she learned the basics of mosaic and beadwork. Over time, she developed her skills further, creating with her son handmade products that carry both precision and a personal touch.

Products with a Human Dimension

Today, Al-Ahmad Handicrafts offers mosaic artworks and boxes made from natural stone, as well as keychains and accessories crafted from beads, olive stones, and “Shaytan” beads. Each piece reflects a shared story of challenge and a message that determination is stronger than circumstances.

Ambitions and Vision

Tahani’s ambition is for the project to become a stable source of income for her and her son, opening doors to a dignified life. What makes their journey unique is how the craft has become a way of bonding and building a success story that proves disability is not a barrier to creativity.
