Story of Gharzet Farah Hand Embroidery Shop

From the heritage-rich city of Jerash, Sira Abu Ghazleh began her journey with her project “Gharzet Farah for Hand Embroidery” in search of an opportunity that would enable her to build a better future and leave a positive impact on her community. The beginning wasn’t easy, but from her small home, with colorful threads and great passion, she created her first hand-embroidered frame using genuine silk threads and gifted it to her loved ones. She never imagined that this simple gift would become the seed of a growing dream.

Inspiration and Beginnings

Sira says: “Every stitch was made with love, passion, and inner joy that flows from me into my designs.”
Her inspiration came from her mother, who has over 30 years of experience in traditional Palestinian embroidery and beadwork, and who was her first teacher in the craft. From her, she learned precision, dedication, and a deep love for heritage and identity.

Products that Blend Heritage with Modernity

Starting with one product, Sira now creates more than ten types of handcrafted embroidered pieces using genuine silk threads, including art frames, wallets, keychains, bookmarks, embroidered shawls, cups, and heritage-inspired wall art. Each piece tells a story, blending Palestinian and Jordanian heritage in a modern design full of joyful colors and positive energy.

Ambition and Future Vision

The Gharzet Farah project completely transformed Sira’s life; it became part of her daily routine, filling her with happiness and a sense of accomplishment. Her ambition is to open her own store where she can display her creations and train women in this craft, helping them build a better future with their own hands — while preserving and spreading heritage everywhere.

These products were supported through Khairat Al-Dar project.
Khairat Al-Dar is a digital platform launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship as a pilot initiative to empower home-based businesses in Jordan, providing them with an integrated environment to market their products in a modern and effective way.
