The Story of Tara

Samar Al-Dhneibat, from Karak, is the founder of “Tara”, a project that turned her passion for embroidery into a distinctive brand. It all began with a very small step and a capital of just one and a half dinars. The first piece she made was simple, but it was the spark that launched her journey in the world of embroidery. As Samar recalls: “I had a hobby in embroidery and started my project with only one and a half dinars… since then, I’ve been working and developing myself little by little until I made a name and my work reached people.”

Support and Self-Learning

From the very beginning, her family was her greatest source of support, believing in her talent and encouraging her to keep going even in the toughest times. Thanks to self-learning and continuous experimentation, she now produces a wide variety of pieces including embroidered bags with sadu or madareq fabric, creative embroidery hoops, car and glasses hangings, embroidered strainers, and even wall clocks carrying a unique heritage touch.

Blending Heritage with Modernity

The concept of Tara revolves around blending authenticity with modernity. Each design is inspired by authentic Jordanian heritage but is presented in a contemporary style that appeals to modern tastes. Her creations don’t just carry a heritage-inspired identity they also hold artistic value that makes them unique and in demand.

Ambition and Distinction

Embroidery has given Samar more than just a source of income it has become a part of her daily life and a means of expressing her love for art and heritage. Every stitch brings her peace and deep joy. Her ambition is for Tara’s products to reach wider markets inside and outside Jordan, establishing the brand as a recognized name in modern embroidery that carries heritage with a fresh spirit.
